Being a Christian doesn't mean I'm perfect. There are certain times that I have to fight for what I truly believed in; and there are also times that I have to reflect and learn from the mistakes that I made.
When something is amiss and there are questions in my head that I don't understand, I talk about it to someone close to me.
I know I can't handle certain issues on my own and I need constant reminder of God's word to help me diminished my old profane ways. But no matter how hard I try to be a good example to those people around me, I know there will always be mistakes. Because I am a sinner and no matter how hard I try to put on a good show, I will always sin. I will never be perfect.
However, despite my imperfections, I always find comfort in God's word. When some people try to correct me, I do my best to rectify it by reading the gospel and by working on my faith (James 2:14-18). My thirst for the Lord's word is becoming stronger and so I am constantly reading His word everyday.
James 2:14-18
Faith Without Works Is Dead
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good[a] is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
But some people don't truly understand how God changes someone's life. They think that if a Christian reads a Bible everyday, they are bound to do good and godly things all the time. Like they are the wisest and the righteous people on earth. Which is not true at all.
I believe the Bible is a guide and an inspiration to those who are lost and heart broken. One must not think that it's like a workbook; that if you do something right, you get an A+ (plus) for all the correct things that you do, because it doesn't work that way.
You, I, we... will never be perfect no matter how hard we try. There will always be mistakes, there will always be "sin". It's in our nature. We can never run or hide from it.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.
Ecclesiastes 7:20
Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.
That is why, grace is available to those who are lost and found refuge through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 3:22
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile...

I believe that being a Christian is not based on what you do or on how people see you, but on your willingness to change with the help of God. I cannot change alone. That's why I need to read His word to consistently remind myself that the Lord is there to guide and provide my every need.

I will always grow spiritually. I will always need the Lord. I will always need His guidance and protection to those people who will try to disappoint me about His good Word. The things I do, the choices I make is not what defines me. It's the relationship I have with the Lord who eternally loves me.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
